Booking show tickets
Your contact details (name, email, phone, address) will only be used to contact you in relation to your booking or any important news about the show you have booked for.
This may include – confirmation of your booking, cancellation of a show (refunds of any monies owed to you), a change of date for a show, a change of venue, etc.
If you are late turning up to a show we may phone you to ask if you still intend to attend the show.
Booking a place on a course/workshop
Your contact details (name, email, phone, address) will only be used to contact you in relation to your booking or any important news about the course/workshop you have booked for.
This may include – confirmation of your booking, cancellation of a course/workshop (refunds of any monies owed to you), a change of date for the course/workshop, a change of venue, a change of teacher, information about any preparation expected of you before the course/workshop, information regarding any end of course/workshop showcase/performance.
If you are absent or late turning up to a course we may phone you to ask if you still intend to attend the course/workshop.
Payments for our courses, workshops, classes and show are usually made via third party ticketing agencies such as (but not limited to) Eventbrite, Skiddle, We Got Tickets.
We do not hold or have access to any of your card details.
Our mailing list
You may join our mailing list via our website or using the physical sign-up sheets handed round at one of our shows or when attending one of our courses/workshops, or via email, letter, telephone or in person.
Via our website you may have joined our mailing list by using the ‘Join Mailing List’ form or opted in to receive our mailing list when you – booked a comedy ticket, booked your place on one of our courses/workshops, made a purchase from our shop or signed up to our membership club.
Your details will only be used to send you our mailing list updates and the occasional special offer. This is usually a once-a-week mail out. Your details are never shared with any other company.
If you wish to unsubscribe you can use the ‘unsubscribe’ option found at the bottom of each mailout or contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org. We will then remove your details from our records.
Please Note: We need to know the actual name and/or email address you signed up with to be able to unsubscribe you. If you are currently using a new email address and having emails from an old address forwarded to that new address, then we need to know that old address (especially if you never gave us your real name).
Sharing of personal details
We will never share any of the personal details that we hold with any other organisation.
We may collect your personal information when you:
access, participate in or sign up to any of our services, activities or online content
- apply or enrol for one of our courses or show,
- phone or email us,
- reserve a place at an event
We may collect the following data
- date of birth
- contact details including postal address, email and phone
- your communication preferences
- state benefits where relevant (booking concessions etc)
- disability/learning difficulty information, and support information where relevant
By providing us with your personal information it will be stored, and may be used by us for any of the following purposes:
- to register you on to one of our courses and give you access to the course materials.
- to provide you with information about our courses; application tips; and other information that may be relevant to your interests.
- for the direct marketing of our products and services
- to provide you with invitations to relevant events and reminders or joining details for those events to which you register.
- to determine the effectiveness of promotional campaigns and advertising.
- to better understand how people interact with our websites.
- to identify and prevent fraud.
The legal basis by which we process personal data include
(a) Consent (E.g. To receive direct marketing, to obtain permission to take photographs at an event etc.)
(b) Performance of a Contract (To fulfill the specific obligations of a contractual agreement e.g. communications about your attendance at an event)
(c) To protect the vital interests of the data subject (E.g The processing is necessary to protect someone’s life e.g. share health information.)
